Merry Christmas!
The heart of Christmas
Once, some elementary school students were acting out the Christmas story for their winter play. A special needs child had the role of the innkeeper, the man who tells Mary and Joseph there is no room at the inn. Well, the night of the play, the audience watched as Joseph pleaded, "Please sir, my wife is going to have a baby." The innkeeper replied, "I'm sorry, we have no rooms." Again, Joseph begged, "But sir, please." This time, the boy playing the innkeeper had a pained look on his face, and then, from the heart of this special child, the audience heard, "Okay, you can have a room."
As it was more than 2,000 years ago, children are the heart of Christmas. And sometimes, it takes a child to remind us what Christmas is really all about. Watch this familiar video.
